For the good of the game!

Our Mission

Through a consortium of locally-based team pinball leagues, Silverball Cities aims to celebrate the game of pinball, to expand it’s audience, and to promote publicly accessible pinball machines. Each city’s league operates autonomously, but is guided by the same basic principles and structure — all leagues are team based and coed, and all compete in public spaces. The structure not only provides a fun social arena which appeals to both established competitors and newbies, but it also awards those businesses that offer and maintain quality pinball in our communities.

The Tools

Starting a league from scratch can be rather challenging — we know, because we’ve done it. Since the formation of Pinball New York City in 2010, an entire suite of tools has been developed to help manage a Silverball Cities league. The structure and rule set is well established and optimized for maximum enjoyment and participation. A website has been developed to help market and promote each individual league. Furthermore, an app has been developed to help engage with participants and make the league more self managing. The app not only allows players to follow their team and quickly see upcoming match information — including opponent, location, and pinball machines — but it also allows team captains to submit scores and manage rosters. All of these tools work seamlessly together to make running your own league as easy and as enjoyable as possible. Best of all, these tools are absolutely FREE for the pinball community!

Cities

Since Pinball New York City formed in 2010, several members of the pinball community have stepped up to form sister leagues in their home towns, thereby laying the groundwork for what is now Silverball Cities. As of Fall 2022, there 71 active teams.

New York, NY, USA

Est. 2010

Pinball NYC is the league that innocently started it all. When the league started, the mission was the same, but its scope went no further than the city's boundaries.

Chicago, IL, USA

Est. 2014

Pinball Chicago was the first venture outside of NYC. What better place to bring the league to than the city that pinball calls home?

Portland, OR, USA

Est. 2015

When Derek moved to Portland he left Pinball NYC behind, and heroically embarked on forming Pinball PDX.

Minneapolis, MN, USA

Est. 2016

Nicki moved from New York to Minneapolis and she wanted to start a team league in her new home city. Of course we wanted to help.

Columbia, SC, USA

Est. 2022

Deanna played in Pinball Twin Cities and then moved to South Carolina. In September of 2022 the Soda City Pinball League was born.
